The Shure U4D is a dual channel, UHF wireless microphone receiver designed for use with Shure UHF series wireless microphone systems. Dual internal receivers enable independent, simultaneous operation of 2 microphone transmitters. Radio-frequency interference noise and drop-out are greatly minimized with Shure's exclusive MARCAD UHF diversity circuitry. Over 2400 user selectable frequencies provide flexible, interference free operation in any environment. The 19-inch rack-mountable unit features a bright, comprehensive LCD display and balanced XLR outputs on the rear panel. Dual Transmitter Operation The U4D dual receiver enables simultaneous operation of 2 microphone transmitters. Marcad Diversity Operation Shure's patented Marcad circuitry minimizes RF noise and drop-out. 2400 Selectable Frequencies The UHF-R series features 2,400 user selectable frequencies over a 60MHz band. Up to 60 Preset Compatible Systems/Band can operate simultaneously. USB and Ethernet Connections A USB port enables direct connection to a PC. Shure's Wireless Workbench software (included) enables remote operation of parameters via PC. An Ethernet network port enables networking of multiple receivers. Audio Reference Companding Shure's Audio Reference Companding scheme applies companding to certain segments of audio that exceed a threshold level. The result eliminates the "breathing" noise associated with standard compander circuits. Automatic Transmitter Sync The system provides automatic remote sync of channel and frequency between the transmitter and receiver. Mic and Line Level Audio Output The receiver features an balanced XLR output capable of microphone or line level signal. The XLR output features a ground lift switch to minimize noise.
